Boozie Bouquets

In this class students will learn the basics of hydrating and preparing floral, the  hand-tied spiral technique for creating bouquets, and how to wrap the bouquet for a gift presentation. 

Guests are welcomed with a cocktail of their choosing followed by a 45 minute demonstration on the fundamentals of bouquet making. Once the demonstration is completed guests will mingle and take turns creating and practicing their bouquets at the “flower bar” while they also have an opportunity to replenish their glasses at the cocktail bar.

At the conclusion of the event students will have learned skills to take average bouquets from local grocery stores and elevate them into beautiful gifts to give to themselves and others.

In addition to their bouquet, students will take home an instructional book with bouquet recipes, a flower care guide and floral spray to keep their bouquet fresh.

January 26, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Boozie Bouquets will be held at our Studio in Hubbard Woods ($95 per person; includes light nibbles and cocktails. Guests will leave with a spiral tied bouquet, recipe cards and a special gift)

Floral Design Classes

Grab your friends and join us for our Floral Design Classes. Each month will feature new design topics to include, but not be limited to centerpieces, wreaths, bringing cut flowers in from your garden, and the all-important holiday planters. Students will learn floral design principles that will elevate all their floral creations.

This is an instructional, demonstration flower class with a hands on opportunity to create while you are visiting with friends.

Introduction to Floral Design – Chicken Wire Mechanic

In this two hour class,  students will learn the basics of hydrating and preparing floral for a coffee table or dining table centerpiece. Proportion, style, and color theory will be introduced. Students will watch a demonstration and then be led through the design process to create their own floral arrangement. At the end of the class students will leave with a $125 arrangement. 

In addition to their arrangement, students will take home an instructional sheet with a floral  recipe, a flower care guide and floral spray to keep their arrangement fresh.

April 16th, 2PM – 4PM at the Cloth and Home Pop Up -1603 Chicago Avenue, Evanston, IL 

$95 per person; includes floral recipe and instruction, a floral spray to keep flowers fresh and an arrangement designed by the student valued at $125.

The Practice of Flower Bathing

Join us for the Practice of Flower Bathing, a flower and meditation experience. Come experience the meditative power of flower arranging based on the Japanese practice of flower bathing. Lanie Coldwell of the Shy Flower will lead the floral arranging while Kristin Svets of Kristin Svets Coaching leads us through a meditative practice. You will leave with a clear, calm head and a beautiful arrangement to enjoy as you continue to practice the meditative skills learned.
